THIS IS THE REASON BEHIND WELFARE OF SIKHS
SIKHS CAN NEVER BE POOR 

THE PERFECT WAY OF WEARING A SIROPA AND TURBAN 

I would like to mention here that everything I am writing are blessing from my Guru ji, whom I worship since my childhood. I practice in Ayurveda medicines, the knowledge of diseases and the herbs, was enough for me as a professional. But I wanted to know the reasons behind sufferings to the human body, why every person has a different problem, which lead me to work beyond that. I read various scriptures and literature to find out the reasons. While working on them I got blessed with so many more things that I did not even think of, whatever I am writing is also one of them.

I could have written these findings earlier also, but I thought of focusing on guiding people on prevention of diseases and was writing on that part.

But, I read so many articles on internet where I read that new generation is lacking interest in the morals taught in our holy scriptures. If we need to keep our traditions alive there is always a need to rewrite the morals and teachings of GURU JI again and again. So, I wanted to contribute and write as per my knowledge and understanding. I strongly believe that a guru has the power to change the destiny of his followers, so did our gurus, they created a religion which was easy to follow and where you do not need any intermediate to pray for you. You will realize how they formulated the REHAT MARYADA; the true follower will never feel any sorrow in his whole life. The rituals we follow in a GURUDWARA are so well designed that they automatically clean our negative karma. Faith in your GURU and following him is enough for you.

I think people can stay healthy while getting attached to their traditions also, as it strengthens their immune systems and I am trying my best to make people understand, how it works.

UNIVERSE ACCORDING TO GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI

Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji states that, “There are planets, solar systems and galaxies. If one speaks of them, there is no limit, no end. As The Lord commands, so they exist. He watches over all and contemplating the creation, He rejoices. Nanak says, to describe this is as hard as steel!” Despite this fact being clearly stated in shri Guru Granth Sahib ji some 500 years ago, most of humanity is not aware of these sayings. shri Guru Nanak Dev ji was an exceptional visionary and was responsible for providing some amazing ideas to the world. 

The scriptures say that the universe consists of many different bodies including planets, solar systems galaxies, stars, suns, skies etc. and that the scale and extent of these bodies is unknown and that there is no end to their number. It is clear from this that probable size of the universe is beyond an exact evaluation or calculation by the human mind.

On a spiritual angle, the Guru tells us that the Lord is in his creation and the Creation is in the Lord; "All are in the One, and the One is in all." So the Universe is a manifestation of the Lord; He is found within the Universe. So from this we can see the extent of God as portrait by Sikhism. Furthermore, it is stated that God created the whole universe including the earth: “You Yourself created the earth, and the two lamps of the sun and the moon” (SGGS p83); "He creates  planets, solar systems and galaxies;" (SGGS p1162) And, “Many millions are the moons, suns and stars” (SGGS p275).

THESE ALL AFFECT OUR LIVES AS SAID ALL ARE IN ONE AND ONE IS IN ALL

HOW THEY AFFECT US I WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN.

OLD RISHI HAVING HAIR ON HEAD AND BEARD, WHICH IS THE SWAROOP OF SIKHS

I was listening to some saint, he was getting upset on people who follow some astrologers and visit some peer places, when they suffer in life. I just want to tell those people that whatever (Upaya) is told to you to follow/ you are told to donate /the rituals to follow, our Guru ji has already incorporated everything in our REHAT MARYADA and has made it easy for us to follow, so that you need not to go anywhere. They knew the universe is same for every religion so are the effects, as sun will give heat to everyone and moon calmness. The effects created by the more of heat and cold affect every person but how much they affect an individual depend on the power of a particular person. I will be discussing one by one so that the people have more faith and do not go anywhere else. The most important is that GURU NANAK DEV JI FOUNDED SIKHISM and provided solution to every problem here in simple routine.

We will start with thanking Our guru ji, who have given us a swaroop of rishis (holy persons) with  tuft of hair tied on head (juda), that too holy hair with which we are born, covering our CROWN CHAKRA and protecting it as it is takes care of every vital function of body)

(The CROWN OR THE SEVENTH CHAKRA is located at the top of the head. Just as the Root or First Chakra connects us to the Mother Earth, the Crown Chakra is our connection to the Universe. In fact, the Seventh Chakra disperses the Universal energy or life force into the six other chakras located below it. In Sanskrit, the Crown Chakra is termed as the Sahasrara (the ‘thousand fold’ Chakra), since it is pictured as a lotus having thousand white petals.

Location of the seventh chakra– Top center of the head, midline between the ears.

Organs and functions connected to the Crown Chakra– Head, brain, ears, eyes, pineal gland, skeletal, nervous and muscular systems as well as the skin)

THOUGHTS ORIGINATING FROM BRAIN 

POSITION OF CROWN CHAKRA 

SIROPA was given to keep the head covered, as it will protect our CROWN CHAKRA from every negativity of the environment and dust.

The practice can be tracked back at least as far as Guru Angad dev ji who bestowed upon Guru Amar Das ji, a scarf every year. The latter treated these scarves as sacred gifts and carried them tied on his head one above the other. So, we should take it in very simple words, siropao .…sir te pao (sir nu tako).                                                                                                                                                                       In olden days everyone used to cover his head with some cap or cloth or turban, while going out. BUT, guru sahib made it a routine to protect and cover our main point of thinking and working and gave it the best of color which affects our thinking, the perfect place of wisdom the crown chakra. Covering the head focuses the energy and contain  and retain your energy and clarify your thoughts . Guru ji gave the saffron colour siropa to affect our thoughts and white turban to cover that as white colour extends your aura by an extra foot. It provides more protection from harmful energy and projects your positive energy out to inspire others and attract prosperity into your life.

NOW I WILL WRITE SOMETHING IMPORTANT ABOUT SAFFRON COLOR, THE PROPERTIES IT POSSESS AND WHAT IT REPRESENTS…..                                                                                              

Crown chakra has white petals which represent moon (chander - calmness, coolness) and saffron(YELLOW)color represents Jupiter (DEVGURU, BRIHASPATI), which is basically the symbol of WISDOM. The Jupiter is meant to expel the darkness from life, it possesses great wisdom. It is also said that the planet Guru is the teacher of the deity and hence it has a divine power. The planet Jupiter is an auspicious planet that makes the people rich, commanding, wise, spiritual, educated, cultured, liberal and generous. The planet Jupiter is one of the biggest planets in the Solar System. This giant planet has got a great role in the life of human being. The planet is said to be highly spiritual. It is the symbol of devotion, worship and prayer. The Jupiter is closely connected to the kids and wealth. Generally the planet Jupiter rules over the law. Jupiter is masculine, fiery, sanguine, positive, liberal, cheerful, profitable and decent by character. The people with the influence of the Jupiter are dutiful, obedient and honest and have a tendency towards the welfare of the people.

Jupiter is strong enough; it brings immense benefits like good health, personality, luxury, spirituality, power, position and authority . The planet Jupiter makes native public representative. It brings phenomenal achievement in business, career, profession and matrimonial life etc. They are honest, dutiful, lovable and affectionate. The person belongs to Jupiter planet is often seen involved with social welfare and becomes the head of the temple and trust. The auspicious Jupiter can make the native a good educator, teacher, treasurer, priest, social worker and it can make the person head of the spiritual organization.

See, Guru ji blessed his every disciple with fortune of Jupiter, every gursikh represent these qualities by default.

Above all they created a combination of Jupiter and moon for life time, by instructing to wear a saffron color cotton cloth on head, further combining it with white turban.

Combination of saffron(YELLOW) and white is called as Gaja Kesari Yoga and is one of the auspicious combination.

 Jupiter is responsible for wealth, knowledge, fame, luck and children while Moon is the planet responsible for heart, softness, mobility, happiness and prosperity and also known as cash money therefore it is said that this combination gives the person wealth and money as much and big Gaj (Elephant) Kesari (lion) both are powerful and influential animals. Gaj is the epitome of intelligence and knowledge. Elephant does not have pride on his tremendous capabilities. He knows how to use his abilities and strength wisely.

The conjunction of the planet Jupiter with Moon makes the native noble minded and helpful. It also helps the native to become success in general.    

Sun also represents saffron color, giving Sikhism dominance in the universe, even if they are in minority still strongly eminent.

Further tying of hair represents Saturn(hair represent Saturn) and The conjunction of  Saturn with Jupiter makes the native highly successful in life.        

                                                                                                                                           

The person becomes rich and gets all kinds of worldly success.

ASTRONOMIOCAL KNOWLEDGE OF JUPITER : The iconic images of Jupiter show that it reflects many shades of white, red, orange and yellow.

The colors of Jupiter’s atmosphere are created when different chemicals reflect the Sun’s light. Most of Jupiter is hydrogen and helium, but the top of its clouds are composed of ammonia crystals, with trace amounts of water ice and droplets, and possibly ammonium hydro sulfide. Powerful storms on Jupiter are created by the planet’s convection. That allows the storms to bring material, such as phosphorus, sulfur and hydrocarbons, from closer to the planet’s core to the tops of the clouds, causing the white, brown and red spots that we see dotting the Jovian atmosphere. 

The planet Jupiter the largest planet in the solar system and it is the 5^th distant planet from the Sun. The diameter of the Jupiter is 142984 KM at its equator. This is a giant planet in the Universe that is filled with gases of different type and liquid objects. Jupiter does have its Moon like we have Moon for the earth. We have one Moon, while the Brihaspati has 11 moons on the heavenly body.

Every PLANET possess  the colors that they have because of what they are made of and how their surfaces and atmospheres reflect and absorb sunlight.

As it is large, bright and simmering planet, anyone can see in the sky at night. The planet Jupiter is flattened at the pole while it is round in shape. The rotation of the planet Jupiter is very fast and it rotates around its axis like the earth moves around its axis.

 IF ONE POLLUTE THE JUPITER THEN THE PERSON CAN SUFFER FROM :

OUR DIFFERENT BODY ORGANS RELATE TO DIFFERENT PLANETS AND POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE AFFECTS SURELY EFFECT THESE ORGANS.

If we pollute Jupiter we suffer from problems of organs  related to it, like

Pain in thighs, fatty liver due to disturbed metabolism, brain, liver related diseases, kidneys problems, lungs, ears, tongue, memory, spleen etc.                                                                                                                                                                                                               

A weakened Jupiter can also give diseases related to ear, diabetes, tongue, memory and pancreas. Jupiter plays part in giving diabetes to the native.

it also leads to misfortune if we pollute it.

Simple wearing a saffron siropa on head helps us in healing in most of the cases. Further doing path wearing it helps us in healing.

People wear costly PUKHRAJ AND YELLOW SAPPHIRES, NO NEED TO WEAR THEM IF YOU WEAR SAFFRON SIROPA AND FOLLOW THE RITUALS OF REHAT MARYADA.

HOW  COLOR  WORKS :

Every color generate an energy of certain frequency, which affects our body and physiological functioning of our body. Same way the saffron color gives us positive energy as of sun rays and gold, which illuminate our aura and affect our thinking, which help us stay healthy and happy . If we are happy only then we can help other persons or the universe.

COMING BACK TO IMPORTANCE OF SIROPA….

 

I have found on internet  ‘SIROPA’ is a term adopted from Persian sar-o-pa (head and foot) or sarapa (head to foot) meaning an honorary dress and is used in Sikh vocabulary for a garment, scarf or a length of cloth bestowed on someone as a mark of honour.  Siropa among the Sikhs is a symbol of honour or benediction. 
It is a gift bestowed by sangat on behalf of the Guru Granth Sahib ji upon someone who deserves the honor by virtue of his or her dedication. People who love reading and tuning into Gurbani also have the Siropa (that's why Bana of Gursikh always has that included)!

It is almost invariably in the form of a length of cloth, two to two-and-a-half meters of saffron colour (kesari – JUPITER ), accompanied by prasad, sugar crystal or bubbles(Patasha, white- MOON)

Siropa is the highest award that a Sikh may receive in sangat. It is the most precious gift of the Guru. People who come to worship from all over the world are also presented with siropa.

HERE COMES A QUESTION OF DEBATE THAT AS PEOPLE ARE RECEIVING IT WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING WORTH IT AND ABOVE ALL IT  LEADS TO DECREASE THE VALUE OF THE SACRED SIROPA.

I think a person should receive Siropa only when he needs it, when his older siropa gets torn and he needs a new one, if we charge this siropa or the sacred cloth whenever we are doing(reciting) paths (NIT NAME : JAPUJI SAHIB, JAAP SAHIB, SUKHMANI SAHIB OR KRTAN SOHILLA AS OUR DAILY ROUTINE), by covering our head with this sacred cloth,  with the passage of time this cloth is rich in energy, we can consume this energy whenever any one of our family or some loved one is low in energy. You will be surprised to know these clothes also got charged with your energies and do not let you fall sick easily as they are absorber of eneries, you should take one and charge it , so that when you are low in your life you get charged from this Siropa.

We should acknowledge SIROPA only when we need a new, do not receive it everytime and keep on piling up in your homes, as it is not just a cloth but a sacred cloth, we should learn to respect it. We should always cover our head with it while reciting gurubani, as it will benefit the person who receives it and gets blessed with his whole life and use this holy cloth for your whole life as it is the blessing of our guru.

Men should daily wear it under their turban and should use turban of KEARI, YELLOW OR WHITE COLOR.
There is no mention of black/ blue color turban for normal men  as it affects our thinking and give aggression to the person. Blue colour is specially for NIHANGS. One can go back and see the practical affects of blue and black colors on the people in last so many years. A color absorbs light, it turns the light into energy (heat). The more light a color absorbs, the more energy it produces. Black fabric absorbs all colors of light and is therefore warmer and give aggression.

SIROPA AND SIRI SAHIB (KIRPAN)  SHOULD BE EARNED THROUGH HIGH MERIT AND DEDICATION.

WHY SIROPA IS  OF COTTON ALWAYS :

Siropa is made up of cotton always as the cotton is a good absorber of energy, it does not heat up, as when we cover our head it absorbs all the energy which is generated by our brain. Cotton has a frequency which matches the frequency of our body. Here I would involve the physiology of brain , brain keeps on working even when we are at sleep, it repairs itself and body when we are at sleep. Have you seen the EEG of brain and ECG of heart , anything or any organs which works generate energy. The head is the main part of the body, representing the north east zone of our body or guru which controls the functions of whole body. It represents wisdom(budhi) and represented jupiter (guru) also represents gold, gold is good for memory and retaining budhi.

Brainwaves are produced by synchronised electrical pulses from masses of neurons communicating with each other. Brainwaves are detected using sensors placed on the scalp. ... Brainwave speed is measured in Hertz (cycles per second) and they are divided into bands delineating slow, moderate, and fast waves.



cotton is made up of more complex series of atoms, which are linked into what are called “polymer molecules.” These polymer molecules link up in repetitive patterns or chains, creating pure cellulose, a substance which makes cotton absorbent.

WHEN WE RECITE BANI THE THOUGHT WAVES GENERATING IN THE BRAIN ARE ABSORBED IN THIS HOLY CLOTH AND RETAIN THE ENERGY  AND YOU CAN USE THAT ENERGY WHEN YOU NEED IT THE MOST. SO BELIEVE IN THAT SUPREME POWER AND STAY BLESSED.
